This year, will you take on a challenge?
Whatever pushes you out of your comfort zone, be it a physical or mental challenge…you choose the activity, you choose the date!
Whatever you do, every step you take towards completing it will make a huge difference to the lives of local people.
As the cost-of-living crisis continues to hit families and individuals locally hard, we’re seeing a hugely increased demand for our services.
Whether that’s people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless, people experiencing poverty, people facing isolation and discrimination, or people facing other acute crisis situations, it’s vital that we take action now to support them.
Will you please take on a challenge this year to help us work alongside local people so they can transform their lives?
From runs or sponsored walks, to playground challenges or sponsoring others who are taking on their own activity in aid of Caritas Salford, there are lots of ways you can get involved.
However you choose to take part, every step you take will make a huge difference to the lives of people in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

Many are suitable for all the family so why not take a look now?
Schools, groups and individuals! Join Fr Chris…
Father Chris Gorton, from the Parish of St Cuthbert in Bolton, is running the Camino de Santiago, a distance of 924 kilometres – the equivalent of running from Manchester to Dundee and back again!
He’s asking schools to consider taking on a challenge of their own by pledging to run or walk a set distance every day that he is running, or to agree to walk for a set time each day (for example fifteen minutes each lunchtime).
Take on another challenge of your own – whether physical or mental…
Whatever will push you out of your comfort zone…
Choose your own challenge, whether it’s a sponsored bake, a quiz-athon, a walk somewhere lovely…simply choose what you’d like to do, set up a fundraising page using the link below, and get started!
Where the money you raise goes
It costs £12,000 per day to provide the level of service and support being delivered in Caritas projects across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
Which means that everyone who needs it is able to access urgent practical help required, as well as any advice and support that will help them for the long term.
Every single donation matters because it means nobody is turned away or left behind.
These are just some examples of how your donation could be used to provide critical support – right now – or help someone begin to transform their own life with dignity.
-
£30.00could help us provide a hot meal for 40 people in our day centres

“I can’t tell you how much this means to have support. Things are so hard at the moment and I’m really grateful for everything you do. My boys don’t know where the food comes from, but they know they will be fed.
