This year, will you take on a challenge?
Whatever pushes you out of your comfort zone, be it a physical or mental challenge…you choose the activity, you choose the date!
Whatever you do, every step you take towards completing it will make a huge difference to the lives of local people.

We’re seeing a hugely increased demand for our services.
Children, young people and adults in your area are experiencing acute crisis right now.
Whether that’s individuals experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless, families experiencing poverty, people facing isolation and discrimination, it’s vital that we take action now to support them before it’s too late.
Will you please take on a challenge this year to help us work alongside local people so they can transform their lives?
From runs to sponsored walks, readathons to bake sales, knitting and playground challenges, to sponsoring others who are taking on their own activity, there are lots of ways you can get involved.
However you choose to take part, every step you take will make a huge difference to the lives of people in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

Ways to get involved
It’s simple to take part. Simply choose your challenge (one of ours below or create your own!), decide when you want to do it, and set up an online fundraising page to start to collect sponsorship…
There are lots of challenges you can take part in, and we’ll be announcing lots of other activities you can be part of throughout the year too.
If you are looking to get fitter, why not sign up to take part in a physical challenge for Caritas Salford as part of our team? There are lots of ideas below…
If you prefer to create your own challenge, or do something that stretches your mind, that’s great too.
We’d love to hear from you about what your challenge will be, so get in touch and let us know! We’ll be here to support you Every Step of the way…

October Manchester Half Marathon

Where the money you raise goes
It costs £12,000 per day to provide the level of service and support being delivered in Caritas projects across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.
Which means that everyone who needs it is able to access urgent practical help required, as well as any advice and support that will help them for the long term.
Every single donation matters because it means nobody is turned away or left behind.
These are just some examples of how your donation could be used to provide critical support – right now – or help someone begin to transform their own life with dignity.
