Morning Star

Morning Star, next to our Cornerstone centre in central Manchester provides a safe, high quality supported accommodation for 20 single homeless men.

The team provides the time for people to build the confidence and skills for independent living and supports the re-establishment of relationships with those closest to them if possible. We work alongside people to empower them to transform their lives with dignity, aiming to help them to move on and successfully resettle in the community.

We’ve recently redesigned Morning Star as a supported alternative to unsupported bed and breakfast provision, creating a new pathway to help local people off the streets.

Each person living at Morning Star has their own bedroom, access to a shared kitchen and living room, and a support worker.

The service is tailored to the needs of the individuals and we always aim to listen and adapt to ensure we can meet their needs and support them to transform their lives.

“…When I was with you, you were a fantastic support to me in the lowest time in my life. I have never stayed anywhere so full of love and care for people at their lowest ebb. I have stayed in other places that were very scary and unsafe. I finally have a flat and a cat and it’s fantastic. Love and hugs to every member or staff who supported me through those desperate weeks. I would not have survived without you all.”
