Cornerstone centre

Cornerstone is our day centre in Manchester (see below for our address and contact details) which supports people experiencing homelessness or at risk of becoming homeless.
The team, which supports anyone over 18, offers a holistic approach to supporting the whole person, assisting them to have their voice heard and to transform their life with dignity.

The people who visit aspire to have a good quality of life and a safe place to live, positive friendships, good health and a purpose in life, and at Cornerstone we work alongside them to help them to achieve their goals.

Our homelessness services such as Cornerstone aim to ensure people in Manchester have the support they need to prevent them from becoming homeless, that people who do become homeless are helped to secure safe accommodation with the support they need to make a new home, and that no one has to sleep rough.

The team, as well as delivering direct housing outcomes, also enables people to improve their wellbeing through services that meet immediate basic needs, promote mental health and wellbeing, enable people to access healthcare and other support services and to take up education, training, volunteering opportunities and employment – all as a means of sustaining positive housing outcomes.

Anyone can drop in during our opening hours, with no referral needed.

The service is tailored to the needs of the individuals and we always aim to listen and adapt to ensure we can meet their needs and support them to transform their lives.

“…When I was with you, you were a fantastic support to me in the lowest time in my life. I have never been anywhere so full of love and care for people at their lowest ebb. I have stayed in other places that were very scary and unsafe. I finally have a flat and a cat and it’s fantastic. Love and hugs to every member or staff who supported me through those desperate weeks. I would not have survived without you all.”
