Accessibility

It’s important to us that as many people can access our services as possible – everyone is welcome.

We also work with local groups from across Greater Manchester and Lancashire to improve accessibility and offer a range of services to support people from some of those communities too.

1000s

of people are supported every year by our range of community and outreach services.

260

amazing volunteers support our work (we couldn’t do what we do without them!).

Everyone, wherever they live, and whatever community they are from, is welcome at our services.

  • Accessibility Service

We believe everyone should have the opportunity to participate in all activities. Our accessibility work includes a range of training, engagement and other activities to support people in our services and beyond.

  • Aspire Education

Our Aspire Education team offers English classes, mentoring and wellbeing services to people from a refugee background in Greater Manchester.

  • St Joesph’s Mission to Deaf People

Our team at the St Joseph’s Mission to Deaf People works to break down the barriers of isolation experienced by members of the local Deaf community.

  • Ukraine Link Service

This service seeks to establish links with people from Ukraine, filling gaps in support, linking and signposting to help them to integrate in the local community.

Where we can help

Outline of Greater Manchester and Lancashire locations where Caritas services operate

Our name – Caritas Salford – is reflective of the fact that we’re the domestic social action charity of the Catholic Diocese of Salford.

Our reach though, spans not just Salford, but right across the diocese, taking in most of Greater Manchester and parts of Lancashire too.

We’re really proud to be able to work in the heart of communities across our area.

If you’d like to connect with us, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.

“I learnt so much about how deafness affects a person and how important it is for us to become inclusive and have sign language as part of our parish, community and life.”
