How we help

Caritas provides a lot of different services across Greater Manchester and Lancashire. We advocate for social justice and aid to create an equal society by helping those who are most vulnerable.

This map shows just some of the places our services support people across Greater Manchester and Lancashire…

Our name – Caritas Salford – is reflective of the fact that we’re the charity of the Catholic Diocese of Salford.

Our reach though, spans not just Salford, but right across Greater Manchester and parts of Lancashire too.

We’re really proud to be able to work in the heart of communities across our area.

If you’d like to connect with us, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.

Your stories

  • Supporting Amber*

Amber* was supported by our team after her mum’s recent abusive relationship meant she found it challenging to attend school and was inattentive in class.
  • Supporting Hannah*

Hannah* was pregnant when she needed to flee an abusive relationship. At risk of homelessness, she arrived at our accommodation for young parents with few belongings and feeling very overwhelmed.
  • Supporting Jo*

Jo was homeless and sleeping rough at Manchester airport when they came to our Cornerstone centre for support. Unable to claim benefits, work or secure a place to call home, they asked our team to help.
