In your parish

We work with people from parishes across Greater Manchester and Lancashire in many different ways – providing support and resources, working with them to help people in their local community, aiding their fundraising activities in support of our charity, and guiding those interested in becoming Caritas Parish Reps or Accessibility Advocates too.

Become a Caritas Parish Rep:

Parish Reps are an essential part of Caritas’ strategy to enable love in action in all our parishes; so that we can continue to build bridges between each parish and Caritas, and for you to become an integral part of strengthening the link between faith and action.

What you will be doing:

  • Keeping your parish updated on Caritas events and news through putting up posters and speaking at Mass
  • Arranging for Caritas staff or volunteers to visit your parish to speak about our work and opportunities
  • Supporting our fundraising appeals
  • Sharing resources and tools with interested parishioners to help them engage in social action
  • Identifying and encouraging possible social action projects within your community or encourage engagement with action already taking place. If you are interested you can apply online now.

We are also keen to hear from people in local parishes who might be interested in becoming volunteer Accessibility Advocates.

Need more information on Parish Reps or Accessibility Advocates roles? Get in touch! Our details are below.
