We are very grateful for the in-kind collections many groups like to have on our behalf. They save the charity money, which means funds can be diverted to where they are critically needed in supporting children and adults.

Christmas help needed

Thinking of items you’d like to collect for us?  Instead, please would you consider donating the cost of those items to our appeal so that we can support a local family or individual in crisis with whatever they need this Christmas and beyond?
If this is not possible, we respectfully request items from the list linked below please.
There is no need to wrap items individually or make gift parcels thank you, and this year we do not require donations of knitted items as there are lots in our stock from last year.
Thank you so much.

Collections of store cupboard items

We need ordinary food cupboard essentials all year-round and/or supermarket shopping vouchers.

Thank you for choosing from the following list (linked below) to help restock our store cupboard.

Companies, can you please help?

As Christmas draws nearer, and as a responsible employer, we know that you will be very aware that there are local children going to school with empty tummies, individuals rough sleeping, and families not knowing where they will be living or waking up on Christmas morning.

Take a look at our leaflet (linked below) for ways you can shine a spotlight on what’s really important this Christmas.

We are unable to arrange pick-up collections, so politely request that any donations are dropped off between 10am and 4pm Monday – Friday at your nearest Caritas project:

Where your money goes

It costs £12,000 per day to provide the level of service and support being delivered in Caritas projects across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

Which means that everyone who needs it is able to access urgent practical help required, as well as any advice and support that will help them for the long term.

Every single donation matters because it means nobody is turned away or left behind.

These are just some examples of how your donation could be used to provide critical support – right now – or help someone begin to transform their own life with dignity.

How your donations help

Jo was homeless and sleeping rough at Manchester airport when they came to our Cornerstone centre for support. Unable to claim benefits, work or secure a place to call home, they asked our team to help.
