Collecting items to support us

We are very grateful for the in-kind collections many groups like to have on our behalf. They save the charity money, which means funds can be diverted to where they are critically needed in supporting children and adults.

Our daily bread

We’re always grateful for store cupboard food items we receive. However, in catering for breakfast and lunches for hundreds of people each day, we also need fresh food items.
These can’t be received as a donation as they need to be purchased by us on a daily or weekly basis, but can include bread, butter, milk, eggs, meat, fish and vegetables.
If you work for an organisation or belong to a community group that is able to pick up the cost of these items on a regular – or even a one-off – basis, please get in touch…

Collections of store cupboard items

If you could please help with supplying our services with some commonly required store cupboard items, we’d be hugely grateful.

Clothing donations support

Our services, including those supporting people experiencing homelessness, are in need of items of clothing – especially men’s clothing (trousers, t-shirts and jumpers sizes small, medium and large).

Please click the link below to find out more about the items we would love you to consider donating – and how you can get them to us too.

Thank you for your help, as always…

We are unable to arrange pick-up collections, so politely request that any donations are dropped off between 10am and 4pm Monday – Friday at your nearest Caritas project:

Where your money goes

It costs £12,000 per day to provide the level of service and support being delivered in Caritas projects across Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

Which means that everyone who needs it is able to access urgent practical help required, as well as any advice and support that will help them for the long term.

Every single donation matters because it means nobody is turned away or left behind.

These are just some examples of how your donation could be used to provide critical support – right now – or help someone begin to transform their own life with dignity.

How your donations help

Jo was homeless and sleeping rough at Manchester airport when they came to our Cornerstone centre for support. Unable to claim benefits, work or secure a place to call home, they asked our team to help.
