Dinosaurs and live reptiles make up unique Every Step challenge

A team from our Caritas Cornerstone and Morning Star centres took on a very special challenge this month – complete with live reptiles!
Members of staff, volunteers and people who access the services which support people who are experiencing or at risk of homelessness decided to take on a very special and slightly unusual challenge this year.
The challenge is part of our Every Step campaign, which is asking people from across Greater Manchester, Lancashire and beyond, to consider doing something which pushes them out of their comfort zone this year.
This can be something physical or mental – anything goes as long as it is a challenge for the person taking it on.
The teams from Cornerstone and Morning Star decided on a special Museum and Gallery Crawl outing, walking from the centre to the Manchester Museum, followed by the Whitworth Gallery.
The group took in William Turner’s work, as well as the dinosaurs and especially enjoyed the live reptiles section.
Patrick O’Dowd, our director, said: “The beauty of Every Step is that literally any challenge goes and I love the idea that people from Cornerstone and Morning Star came up with. As well as being a fabulous walking challenge, it was also a great opportunity for everyone to get out in the fresh air together and experience something new and interesting. I’m so pleased everyone had such a great day.
