A burst of energy as team raises much-needed funds

There was a huge burst of energy this month as one of our teams took on a special challenge to raise funds for our charity.
The energy advice service team took on the challenge as part of our Every Step campaign, pledging to walk 14.4km over the course of a week to raise vital money to help continue our work.
According to National Energy Action, 14.4 per cent of households in the North-West of England live in fuel poverty, and as the energy advice team helps people across Greater Manchester and Lancashire to reduce their bills and improve their energy efficiency, the challenge was the perfect one.
Cait, one of the members of the team, explained: “It’s shocking that so many people in our area live in fuel poverty and we see every day the demand for support from our service.
“It was lovely to come together as a team for a joint fundraising effort, but to also raise awareness about the issues facing people locally.
“We’re always here to help if anyone does need support so would encourage them to pop into one of our free drop-ins or get in touch.”
