Communities building bridges at Weaving Trust event

This week, working in partnership with Khizra Mosque in Manchester, we were please to co-facilitate a powerful gathering of community leaders, faith groups and other organisations.
Weaving Trust, which was an interfaith Greater Manchester Citizens’ event, saw Bishop John Arnold, clergy, and local parishioners coming together alongside people from the Muslim, Jewish, and other faith communities, as well as the third and public sector from across Greater Manchester. The gathering aimed to foster mutual understanding, build relationships across difference, and highlight the lived experiences of community members too.
The event used simple one-to-one conversations between people who had never met before, which proved to be hugely uplifting and showed how despite our communities’ differences, there is so much that unites us.
At a time when some seek to sow division, this event stood as a powerful reminder of what can be achieved through listening, empathy, and genuine human connection.
