This Advent, we’re hugely grateful to everyone who is taking the time to donate or support and pledge to Bee There for others in some way.

Here, Mark, one of our Caritas community volunteers, tells us more about his experiences and why your help is so important…

What does Caritas and our service mean to you and what do you do here?

Caritas has been a lifeline.

I would still be on the streets, the support was fantastic and I now live somewhere, and I am now a community volunteer, helping in the kitchen at Red Door and in the main room, doing any other job that helps.

How will you #BeeThere for others this Christmas?

I will keep in contact with my friends I have made at the Red Door centre and old friends I keep in touch with. My friends are my support.

What would you like to shine a spotlight on this Christmas?

I would like to shine a spotlight on homelessness this Christmas.  I have experience and I wish everyone had a place to go to eat and for company and support.

What’s really important at this time of year?

My friends.  New friends are what is most important to me at this time.

Bee-yonce, Lewis Capal-bee…can you think of any other bee related stars?

I would like to add JON BEE JOVI!
