This year, as part of our Advent appeal, we’re asking how you will Bee There for others this Christmas.

Here, Lucie from our fundraising team, tells us more about how she’s hoping to support her local community this December and beyond…

How will you Bee There for others this Christmas?

I will be there for others by continuing to act with kindness towards everyone I meet and endeavouring to offer my own support or direct people to where they can find help if they need it.

This year’s Advent appeal includes our bees starring in their own TV adverts (you can watch these at the bottom of this page by scrolling down).  What would your television advertising slogan/campaign be to help encourage people to #BeeThere this Christmas?

My slogan would be ‘Let’s spread the joy of the season with everyone, especially those most in need.’

What changes would you like to see to help people in your community this Christmas?

I would love to see everyone acting with kindness and warmth towards each other in the community, and offering support to one another where we can.

What is the true meaning of Christmas to you, and how will you put it into action this year?

The true meaning of Christmas to me is getting together with friends and family to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It can be a time for parties and festive fun but it’s also important for reminding ourselves of the good things we have in our lives and being grateful for them. So this year more than anything, I just want to treasure the times I spend with my family and friends.

If you’ve not yet seen our Bee There Advent appeal animation – you can watch it below now, and please donate if you can

Every penny really does help us support more local people like those our teams work alongside in Greater Manchester and Lancashire.

Thank you.
