We’ve been sharing information about a wide range of challenges that have been taking place in recent months as part of our Every Step campaign.

Lorraine, Raddon and Cait from our Lalley centre, community pantry and allotment pledged to walk to work each day, collectively covering a distance of 26.4 miles – the same as a marathon!

“We decided to take on the challenge as a fun way to get some fresh air, stay healthy, but most importantly raise funds to support our work.

“We’re so close to our target so are appealing to anyone who can spare a pound or two to help nudge us over the line.

“The money raised could help us as we work alongside people in Manchester who are experiencing poverty, homelessness and discrimination, so it literally could change lives.”

The Every Step campaign asks people from across Greater Manchester and Lancashire to take on a challenge that pushes them out of their comfort zone.  From walks to runs, reading challenges to knit-a-thons, anything goes!
