Every step, everywhere

Kath Ansley from Caritas smiling at camera, holding up large map of the route Fr Chris Gorton will be running in his Camino challenge

A familiar face in our schools and parishes across Salford diocese, Kath Ansley – Caritas Salford’s formation and animation coordinator – will be joining Fr Chris Gorton in solidarity of his Camino challenge.

On Friday 4th October, when Fr Chris is taking a one-day rest after having run an incredible 38km the day before, he will temporarily pass the baton to Kath for the day.

In what is likely to be a slightly cooler and rainier challenge, Kath will walk between five of our diocesan schools in her own Rochdale Camino to raise funds for local people experiencing poverty, homelessness and discrimination

She will start at St Cuthbert’s, walk to Holy Family, then to St Gabriel’s, St Vincent’s and finish at St Patrick’s before the bell rings at the end of the school day.

She will stop for a chat and photo at each of the schools and welcomes a wave and a cheer from any other members of the community she passes.

If you would like to sponsor Kath’s Every Step challenge, please click here now – she would hugely appreciate it.

What will you be doing to follow Fr Chris on his Every Step challenge this term?
