Come to our blooming brilliant allotment open afternoon

Our Caritas Lalley community allotment team is hosting a very special open afternoon, and we’d love you to come along.
The special, free, family-friendly event, which will take place on Tuesday 18 August from 12noon to 3.30pm, will include a whole range of activities for people of all ages to enjoy.
There’ll be garden games, allotment tours, harvesting, live music, fresh food, and the chance to make your own pizza in our special outdoor oven too.
Craig Savage, from our team, said: “The allotment is a fabulous place, not just for people who love to garden, but also for anyone wanting a break in a beautiful haven, or for those who want to meet new people too.
“Feedback from last year’s open afternoon was that everyone had a fabulous time sharing stories, taking part in activities, and enjoying delicious food too. And, with many of the ingredients that will be shared grown on site on the allotment, that’s a bonus when it comes to reduced food miles too!
“We hope it will be a fun afternoon in the fresh air for families and individuals looking for something different to do in the summer holidays. We’d love to see as many people as possible on the day so please do come along and join us.”
All activities will be family friendly. Under 18s must be supervised.
The event is free but donations are welcome.
