We’ve been sharing information about a wide range of challenges that have been taking place in recent months as part of our Every Step campaign.

Recently, a group of people from our Caritas House supported accommodation and our Red Door day centre joined forces to take on a very special challenge of their own.

The group, which was made up of people accessing the services, staff and students, set themselves the goal of enjoying the great outdoors while trying to achieve more than 10,000 steps in one day.

Everyone was thrilled to surpass their target, achieving a massive 12,584 steps.

Feedback was that everyone enjoyed the day too, spending time socialising and taking in the fresh air on the lovely autumn day.

The walk was part of our Every Step campaign which is asking people from across Greater Manchester and Lancashire to take on a challenge that pushes them out of their comfort zone.  From walks to runs, reading challenges to knit-a-thons, anything goes!

If you’d like to take on a challenge of your own, why not take a look and get some inspiration now?
