- Tuesday 3 September, 3pm to 4.30pm at Cornerstone Centre, 104b Denmark Road, Manchester, M15 6JS
- Monday 21 October, 6pm to 7.30pm online via Zoom
About the session:
The way in which people learn can have a wider implication for how they navigate people and activities.
Sometimes known as “specific learning difficulties/differences” or “SpLD”, conditions such as dyslexia, dyspraxia, and ADHD can change how a person processes information and navigate their environment.
Approximately 10% of the UK population has a SpLD.
Take a moment to consider:
- Do you understand what a SpLD is and how it affects a person?
- Do you think you operate in a way that is supportive to people who have a SpLD?
- Do you understand your responsibilities towards accessibility?
The session will include:
- Considering different ways of learning
- Things that could help people, if available
- The language we use, attitudes and mind-sets
- A chance to ask questions without judgment
