Some of our Volunteers
I felt that our more vulnerable families continued to receive regular support from C and that gave us knowledge and enabled us to act quickly if needed. Having another person to talk through different cases was also a huge benefit to me at what was a tricky time.
We received many emails from parents who were appreciative of the support school had offered and we had a high percentage of children attend school prior to the summer holidays. I think that Caritas’s service provided by C was a big part in helping the children and families feel safe.
“When weekly contact was not able to be made with one of our more vulnerable children, we walked to the family house and made a joint home visit. It became clear that the family were struggling with routines and we had some concerns about the presentation of the child. “
