Morning Star Hostel is for single homeless men, particularly those sleeping rough, and/or those with alcohol issues, who have a connection to the Manchester area.

As a Support Worker you will provide support, housing and homelessness advice to clients to ensure the aims and objectives of Morning Star hostel are successfully delivered.
You will deliver activities, one to one and group support to clients and conduct assessments to address identified needs in a manner reflective of their dignity and self worth which encourages and assists clients to address their health and social problems.  Also you will contribute the overall running of the project which may include some basic meal preparation and light cleaning when required.

You must have experience of working with homeless people or disadvantaged groups in a similar setting.

The shifts will include, weekday, evening and weekend working.

Due to the sensitive nature of the post, an offer will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
