Morning Star Hostel is for single homeless men aged over 35, particularly those sleeping rough, and/or those with alcohol issues, who have a connection to the Manchester area.
The Support Worker will provide support, housing and homelessness advice to clients to ensure the aims and objectives of Morning Star hostel are successfully delivered.
You will deliver activities, one to one and group support to clients, including conducting assessments to address identified needs in a manner reflective of their dignity and self worth which encourages and assists clients to address their health and social problems.
The post holder must have in depth knowledge of client assessments and support plans, including knowledge of the housing and benefits systems.
You must also have experience of working with adults who are vulnerable, homeless people or disadvantaged groups in a similar setting.
