SUPPORT WORKER/HOUSING MANAGEMENT WORKER

22.5 hours per week – 3 days a week

SCP13-15 £23,334 – £24,277 per annum, pro rata for part time

BASED AT MORNING STAR HOSTEL, 104 DENAMRK ROAD, MANCHESTER, M15 6JS

The Morning Star hostel has been upgraded and the service has been redesigned to meet the current need of people who are becoming homeless in Manchester and we will soon be reopening the hostel and we are recruiting a new staff team.

As a Support/Housing Management Worker you will work as part of a team to provide a safe and high standard of supported accommodation which enables people to move on to appropriate longer term accommodation and supports people to address their health and other support needs.

You will have great customer service skills, have a strengths based approach and be motivated to enable people who are homeless to find and be able to maintain long term housing solutions. Experience of working with vulnerable, homeless people or disadvantaged groups in a similar setting is essential. You will have good IT and admin skills and a positive approach to team working.

The hours of the role will be between from 9am – 5pm, Wednesday to Friday and to support occasional fundraising activities outside of these hours.
