Following a career change I became a Social Worker 5 years ago after studying for the degree. When qualified I became employed within different settings and agencies before beginning at Caritas. Since being employed with Caritas I have developed my knowledge and skills and have gained further qualifications in Webster Stratton Parenting and Children workshops, therapeutic interventions such as, Mindfulness, Transactional Analysis, Lego based Therapy, the Relax Kids programme and Practice Education. Becoming a Practice Educator has enabled me to support and train students studying the Social Work degree while on placement at Caritas. I feel extremely committed to delivering high quality interventions to children and families experiencing challenging situations and events. I wholeheartedly encourage individuals to overcome negative experiences leading to positive achievements and improved sense of self.
