SCP24-28 £29,568 – £33,241 per annum

Following our recent strategic review, we are restructuring the way we operate and have created the new role of Parish & Communities Engagement Officer. This newly created post is to support the implementation of our plans to develop and improve the formation and animation of the Catholic community encouraging them to engage in social action work.

Working under the leadership and supervision of the Formation Co-ordinator and in partnership with colleagues across Caritas, you will support parishes, schools and the wider Catholic community in promoting, developing, implementing and co-ordinating local social action, putting ‘Caritas’ – love for humankind – into practice.

You will have strong communication skills, be organised, passionate, driven and self motivated. An understanding of or with the ability to develop an understanding of social problems and challenges for those experiencing poverty, discrimination, disadvantage and isolation and appreciation of the importance of the local community based voluntary action in responding to social problems is important for the role.

An appropriate degree/professional qualification or relevant experience is essential.

A full clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle is essential to be able to travel through the Diocese of Salford
