The post holder will provide leadership and direction to Caritas Diocese of Salford in accordance with Catholic social teaching to enable the charity’s values, mission, objectives, principles and standards to be achieved and maintained. Additionally, the appointed person will uphold the Catholic ethos of the organisation, maintaining a passionate commitment to serving those in need and developing the new strategic plan.
As the Director of the principal social action charity of the Diocese of Salford, the post holder will work closely with the merged Trustees of the two registered charities to promote closer strategic alignment, while maintaining the integrity of the registered charity. This re-alignment offers significant opportunities for both charities in terms of increasing collaboration to support the shared mission of the Church and for enhanced co-operation on specific projects and professional services.
The applicant must have significant experience at a senior level with evidence of professional qualifications and relevant training.
Experience and proven success in funding services, strategic and financial planning, service improvement and development is essential.
The Director will be a practising Catholic and due to the sensitive nature of the post, an offer will be subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service check.
The post holder must hold a full UK Driving Licence, with the use of a car insured for business purpose.
