I am a Qualified Person Centred Counsellor and Qualified Field Work Supervisor. I have been working as a Counsellor for over 17 years and I have a wealth of experience and knowledge in working with children, adults and families.
My approach has been found particularly useful in helping individuals to overcome specific problems such as depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, self-reliance and self-awareness, person-centred therapy can help individuals to reconnect with their inner self in order to transcend any limitations. I strive to offer the children and families a holistic approach; I do this by working at the individual’s pace and ability to reach their best possible outcome for them.
During my career I have coordinated a Counselling Service, my role was to manage and support a team of counsellors and students by allocating referrals and supervising staff members. This role allowed me to support and guide student Counsellors from a local college to facilitate the process in them relating theory to practice to enable them to complete their 100 hour placement.
I have some experience in Family Contact work by working in partnership with other agencies my role was to facilitate, observe and assess parent and child contact sessions. I then completed a comprehensive report regarding the outcomes of the session with the child’s needs at the centre of the work.
I am fully committed to my role as a Counsellor and I get unlimited job satisfaction in every aspect of my work.
