This model introduces children to new ways of behaving which will give them strategies for coping with bullying and enable them to become more assertive. This approach specifically teaches children to think differently about themselves by giving themselves praise and encouragement. Leaders give children knowledge and skills to reduce the risk of them being a target. Parents are also involved in this intervention and their workshop is focused on developing knowledge of how they can best support their children becoming more assertive. The model is proven to be successful for children who are quiet, withdrawn and a target for bullying by others.
