Children raise £300 for Caritas in their Reindeer Raffle

Mason and Gracie (pictured) have raised £300 for Caritas in their Reindeer Raffle.

The children – age 8 and 6 – are part of Our Lady of Hope Parish in Salford. This year, Mason asked if they could hold a raffle to raise money for Caritas Salford. When asked why he chose Caritas, he said that he wanted to make a difference and that Caritas help those in need and encourage us to look after the environment, two things that he is very passionate about.

It was Gracie’s idea to do a Name the Reindeer raffle. With a frame filled with lots of funny names, they asked friends and family if they would like a go.

It proved very popular! The children were overwhelmed with the amount they finally raised – £300!

The winning name was John, to which Gracie said, “John was a friend of Jesus!”

We are all very proud of them both. Thank you so much!

Helping those in need to feel #Loved this Christmas.
