From 4th-8th December, CSAN had the exhibition space in the Upper Waiting Hall in the Palace of Westminster. In partnership with CAFOD and JRS, the Catholic community’s response to the migration crisis was on show, beginning with CAFOD’s work in Greece and Lebanon through to our work in Calais and the UK, especially the Community Sponsorship resettlement scheme.
The exhibition, named ‘Share the Journey’ to echo the current Caritas Internationalis campaign on safe migration, was launched by Catherine McKinnell MP, with speeches form the National Caritas Community Sponsorship Coordinator Sean Ryan, a JRS refugee friend and Fr Stephen Wang.
We are hoping to offer the four A3 panels (see photo) from the exhibition and the rolling presentation which was shown on a television screen to others who might be interested in hosting the exhibition. The presentation features ‘messages of hope’ from last year’s Lampedusa cross campaign, and an ITV piece on the refugee family resettled in the Diocese of Salford under Community Sponsorship.
If you think your organisation or Diocese may be interested in hosting the exhibition in 2018, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
