Called to Action Stars

A BIG THANK YOU must go to our latest Called To Action Stars who have helped Caritas Services and their local community during and since the new year.

Holy Family RC & C of E College in Heywood have organised a food collection annually for many years, preparing and distributing hampers to those who are isolated in their local community.

Harry from Our Lady of Lourdes Primary in Brandlesholme, Bury organised a twenty-four-hour fundraising gameathon to raise money for Caritas Red Door in Bury. This will go a long way to helping fund our vital work supporting people who are vulnerable in Bury. Harry is a fantastic role model for young people!

St Peter’s Primary in Newchurch joined virtually with St Joseph’s school to hold a non-uniform day. Donations of chocolates and biscuits were given out to NHS staff.  Rosie sent out ‘rainbow messages’ to the local community to spread joy whilst Austin has been home-learning and litter-picking in his spare time then uploaded to YouTube an informative video on what he has learned.

Is your school a Called to Action Star? Let us know what you did, how you did it and what the impact was, by emailing k.ansley@caritassalford.org.uk
