Accessibility in Parishes Sessions
Event:
Accessibility in Parishes
Where and when:
There are multiple dates and locations to choose from. If you are interested in hosting your own at your parish too, please do get in touch:
- Saturday 5 October, 12noon at St Catherine of Siena, School Lane, Didsbury, Manchester, M20 6HS
About this session:
Our accessibility coordinator, Minna, will be speaking at Mass and encouraging the parish to consider disability in a different light. Afterwards, there will be light refreshments and a chance to carry on the conversation without judgement and further consider accessibility in the parish.
Do you understand what disability is?
- How confident are you talking about disability?
- Do you think you operate in a way that is accessible to all people?
- Do you understand your responsibilities towards accessibility?
This session is open to anyone, without booking, but if you have any accessibility needs you would like to let us know beforehand, please do email accessibility@caritassalford.org.uk
For more information on the accessibility service and contact information to get in touch with Minna with any queries about this or other sessions, please visit the service page on our website.
At Caritas, we believe that everyone should have opportunity to participate in all activities. This includes people who use our services, employees and volunteers.
Together we will work alongside individuals to find inclusive ways of working that suit them best. We seek to welcome, integrate, and support the participation of all people by making our projects accessible. If you face barriers because of your physical, mental and emotional, learning, sensory and/or communications needs, please let us know.
