We are pleased to announce that this Sunday, 5 February, is the collection date of our annual appeal in churches called Caritas Sunday.
Historically, Catholic Children’s Rescue Society has always had a Sunday collection highlighted by the Bishop of Salford to help raise funds for the work they did. Now that CCRS is part of Caritas, we have continued the tradition, and Bishop Brain has graciously granted us the first Sunday in February to appeal to churches to support our work in the Diocese.
In 2012, we are seeking funds to support our Community Resource Centres located in Bury, Bolton and Manchester. These centres are a vital lifeline for the people who use them for advice, counselling and support. With the funds collected, we hope to develop new projects to take our work further to help more people in need.
