Celebrating Foster Carers in Style! |

Caritas invited all our foster carers to an Appreciation Evening in October to acknowledge the wonderful service they’ve given to looked-after children in the Diocese over many years. It was a happy day of food, merriment and live music from the popular band Timepiece. However, the gala was mixed with a touch of sadness as a few of our long-serving carers were resigning. Between them, this group of 5 had chalked up an incredible 92 years of service! We thanked continuing carers with similarly impressive years of service that continue to increase as well as welcomed new carers to our Caritas Family.
Jo Davidson, Head of Fostering, said “Caritas is justly proud of its fostering tradition and the commitment given by our carers to children in need of safe and nurturing family placements. However, with care placements rising, we are always looking for more dedicated individuals and families to let vulnerable children into their homes and into their hearts.”
