Thanks to the enthusiasm from loyal supporters such as Bernie Boardman, we’re throwing ourselves head-over-heels (sometimes literally!) into local races. We are asking supporters to help us by walking, jogging or running to raise funds.

30 October: Accrington 10K

27 November: City of Salford Women’s 5.25 Mile Race (ladies only)

11 December: Manchester 5K Santa Dash (yes, you get to dress up like the jolly man himself!)

Looking to 2012, Caritas is already excitedly recruiting for the Greater Manchester Marathon and the Bupa Great Manchester Run (10K). However, we encourage supporters to do whatever takes their fancy – whether it is a sporting feat like running, biking or swimming or another event such as putting on a coffee morning, hosting a dance or pub quiz. People across the diocese are getting stuck-in to help Caritas’s work in a variety of ways, and we appreciate everyone’s input!
